1. Understanding your goals
Understanding your goals is key to get the results you're looking for, be it sales, enquiries, engagement or simply visitors. In this process I will ask for your main competitors and any KPI's (key performance indicators) that you either already have, or would like to set.
2. Establishing opportunities
Establishing available opportunities will vary depending on your market (and current standpoint), however at this stage I will take a look at the main differences between you and your competitor using a SWOT analysis to provide initial insight on routes to take. Certain markets such as a local, physical stores for example have very different opportunities available when compared to a solely online store so everything must be considered.
3. Strategy and focus
This step covers the strategic approaches required to gain success, to give you an idea on either the route you could take yourself, or the strategy I would look to take to improve your online presence.
